A slate of Ward 22 co-chair candidates was disqualified Monday after failing to submit proper petitions to the New Haven Registrar of Voters.
“It’s looking very good for him,” Harp told the New Haven Independent after the Friday meeting.
Mayor Toni Harp said Friday she will not support the reappointment of New Haven Public Schools Superintendent Garth Harries ’95 unless he presents her with a balanced budget this spring.
“They used to go to Italy,” Castro said.
A third vacancy on the New Haven Board of Alders looms, as Ward 16 Alder Migdalia Castro announced at Thursday’s Board meeting that she is resigning in order to take a job in City Hall.
