College Wine will not be selling wine — or any other form of alcohol — for the next six weeks.

Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission has suspended the liquor license for the establishment, located at 68 Church Street. A notice of suspension posted on the front of the store cites alleged sales to minors among the infractions that prompted the state’s response. The liquor store was also cited for failure to display prices and failure to post a permittee name sign.

College Wine was fined $13,500 in addition to the suspension, which lasts until June 15.

The owner, Sanjay Patil, also runs a liquor store in the Westville neighborhood called Westville Wines. Patil did not respond to requests for comment on Sunday.
