It should come as no surprise that Yale Law School is still the number one law school in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report rankings. Yale Law has held its number one spot for around two decades.
The top five law schools remained the same for the second consecutive year, with the next five in order being Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and the University of Chicago Law Schools.
This year, U.S. News “decided to get a new perspective on which law programs should be considered the nation’s elite” by having officials at firms in the 2010 Best Law Firms rankings rate schools. In this ranking, Yale came in second to to Harvard.
