At least 10 polling places in traditionally-Democratic Bridgeport ran out of ballots today, the CTMirror reports.

State Rep. Christopher Caruso, a Democrat from Bridgeport, said he counted 47 voters who were turned away from a polling place when ballots ran out, and he said has heard of another site seeing lines of up to 200 people waiting for a ballot.

“This is unbelievable and a travesty,” he said.

A spokesman for the Secretary of State’s office told the CTMirror Bridgeport was the only municipality to run out of ballots, though others ran low.
