Allison Williams ’10 cast in HBO Pilot

This is it.

Allison Williams ’10, the former Just Add Water superstar and KurtHugoSchneider starlet, has just landed a lead role in an unnamed HBO pilot comedy executive produced by Judd Apatow that follows three friends through their trials and triumphs, Deadline reports.

Williams will play Marnie, a “sexy, bitchy and ambitious assistant at a slick political PR firm whose goal is to practice environmental law” — a big step up, the we believe, from a hot TA and Ke$ha.

Williams will star alongside Jemima Kirke and Lena Dunham, who starred together in Dunham’s award-winning feature “Tiny Furniture.”

That’s where daddy’s connections get you. Not that she’s not talented and that she’s not an absolute sweetheart, but it’s just funny that the YDN fails to mention her very relevant father.

Connections or not, she’s talented, smart, beautiful and seems very nice. It’s not hard to imagine her getting such a role on merit alone. Best of luck to her!
