Game on. The Boston Globe reported that Harvard received 39,044 applications for the class of 2020 — a 4.6 percent increase from last year’s numbers. Yale also saw an increase this year. The University received 31,439 applications, which was a 4 percent increase from last year, and surpassed 31,000 for the first time.
