The first Friday night game in Yale Bowl history turned out disastrously for the Yale football team, as Penn dominated nearly every facet of the game en route to a 42–7 victory. The Quakers (4–2, 3–0 Ivy) more than doubled the output of the Yale (1–5, 1–2) offense, outgaining the Elis 508–229 in total yards.
