On April 20, 2025, the Yale Daily News elected its 148th Managing Board, which will steer the Oldest College Daily through the 2025-26 academic year. Today, with gratitude and respect for the News that we joined, and eagerness for the News we will build, we assume our roles.
Our board members hail from a collage of hometowns, experiences and desks in our newsroom. As reporters, columnists, photographers, designers and artists, we have worked hard in the past months and years to provide thorough and accurate journalism to our readers. Now, as leaders of the News, we are excited to lead our staff in doing the same.
Throughout the past few months, American colleges and universities have commanded national attention. At the News, we strive to rise to this occasion and provide our readers with relentless and rigorous reporting. Covering our campus and our city demands nothing less.
This year, we hope to earn — and retain — your trust. As a college newspaper, the News operates in pursuit of a dual mission: informing our local and campus audiences and educating our student-led staff. Successfully serving our community requires devoted attention to each of these aims. Over the next 12 months, we will work to make 202 York St. an inclusive and accessible home for reporters and readers of all stripes. Our doors will be open, and we are excited to welcome you.
