The University appointed two new trustees to the Yale Corporation Monday.

Peter Dervan GRD ’72 and William Kennard LAW ’81 will replace Byron Auguste ’89 and Indra Nooyi SOM ’80 as successor trustees.

Dervan is currently a professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology, while Kennard is a senior advisor to Grain Management, LLC. Kennard formerly served as United States Ambassador to the European Union.

Dervan currently serves as one of five alumni fellows on the Corporation. Both will begin their terms on July 1.

“I am extremely grateful to Peter and Bill for their willingness to serve as successor trustees,” said University President Peter Salovey. “We will continue to benefit from Peter’s wisdom and are eagerly looking forward to drawing upon Bill’s experience and talents in service to Yale.”
