Yale football wide receiver and captain-elect Deon Randall ’15 was named to the FCS All-New England team on Monday.

The receiver from San Diego was the sole Bulldog selected to the 30-player team, and he was one of just three wide receivers to be honored.

This season, Randall led the Elis in receiving with 85 receptions for 788 yards and eight touchdowns. His eight receiving touchdowns were tied for second in the Ivy League.

Randall was the key in two of Yale’s Ivy victories this season. He scored four consecutive touchdowns to propel the Bulldogs to a 38–23 victory over Cornell and ran for a 32-yard game-winning touchdown against Brown with just seconds left on the clock.

At the team’s banquet last week, Randall won the Ted Blair Award, given to the most valuable player on the team.

In total, 13 Ancient Eight players were named to the team: five from Harvard, four from Brown, three from Dartmouth and one from Yale.

The team was selected by the New England Football Writers.
