• As Yale gears up to face winter weather, administrators have made several changes

    to the University’s emergency operations to prepare for the season ahead.

    The University Emergency Operations Team, which includes University Secretary Linda Lorimer and Deputy Secretary for the University Martha Highsmith, has implemented these changes in order to ensure earlier notification of anticipated snowstorms and improve communication about service cancellations and facilities’ closures.

  • University President Richard Levin signed an agreement with Chairman Zhu Shanglu of Peking University on Friday that officially extends the Peking University-Yale University Joint Undergraduate Program in Beijing, which four Yale officials says reflects their satisfaction with the program after five years.

    The joint undergraduate program creates a two-way exchange where Yalies have the opportunity to spend a semester living and studying at Peking University — widely-regarded as the most prestigious higher education institution in China — and Peking University students have the chance to live and study at Yale.

  • College football fans aggravated by Sunday’s Bowl Championship Series (BCS) selection show now have a Yale professor’s study supporting allegations of bias in the Coaches’ Poll and validating the concerns of impartiality in the bowl game selection process.
