Dining halls will now be open for six meals over Thanksgiving break, Director of Residential Dining Regenia Phillips said in a Wednesday afternoon email to the News.

After weeks of discussion, Yale Dining and the YCC have announced that the Pierson College dining hall will serve brunch and dinner on Monday and Tuesday next week. On Wednesday the dining hall will be also open for brunch, but it will provide students with a bagged meal for dinner. All residential college dining halls will offer brunch on Sunday, Nov. 27 as well, resuming dining services a meal earlier than in years past.

YCC President Brandon Levin said the change will be of great benefit to students who stay at Yale over break, particularly international students.

“This is a truly significant policy change, one which I know will positively impact all students staying on campus,” Levin said. “This has the potential to save students a substantial amount of money as well.”

In an announcement sent via email, the YCC thanked the Office of International Students and Scholars and the Yale College Dean’s Office for providing the additional funding to make the dining services possible.
