After Yale’s mixed results in college rankings from Newsweek and The Daily Beast, Yalies may be happy to hear our Hogwarts-esque castles are appreciated outside New Haven.

Yale was named one of the ten college campuses with the best architecture by Architectural Digest. The campus was praised by the magazine for “mixing classical collegiate styles with modernist icons.”

The description of Yale’s architecture name-dropped famous architects such as Phillip Johnson, Louis Kahn, Paul Rudolph, Eero Saarinen, and Gordon Bunshaft.

The architecture at the University of Virgina, Harvard and MIT also made the top ten. (h/t)
