Goodbye, Bulldog Burrito. If the packing boxes inside weren’t enough of a hint, a sign posted at Bulldog Burrito explains the restaurant’s recent closure after seven years of business in their location at the corner of Elm and Park streets:

Dear Friends –

We have decided to close Bulldog Burrito at 320 Elm Street for many reasons.

We thank you all for 7 great years here and hope to be announcing a new location in New Haven soon.

Perhaps the infamous to-go margaritas of Bulldog Burrito were simply not enough to draw Yalies away from the food cart burritos served by the chili-pant wearing workers on the corner outside.
