Divers Rachel Rosenberg ’12 and Paige Meneses ’13 capped off their 2010-11 seasons at the NCAA Zone Championships held in Annapolis, Md. this past weekend.

Rosenberg finished 14th on the 3-m board and 23rd on the 1-m board while Meneses finished 22nd on the 3-m board and 20th on the 1-m board. There were 49 women divers competing in the 3-m event and 47 in the 1-m event.

“There were some good divers there, especially in the men’s meet. It was fun to watch,” Rosenberg said. “All in all we had tons of fun with the other Ivy divers but we didn’t perform that well.”

Only the top two divers on the 3-m board and top diver on the 1-m board advance to the NCAA Division 1 Diving Championships held in Austin, Tex. next weekend.

Throughout the season, Rosenberg and Meneses were consistently the top two divers for the Bulldogs, followed by Christina Brasco ’14. In all but three duel meets, the 1-m and 3-m events were won by either Rosenberg or Meneses. The duo’s only regular season losses came against Harvard, Princeton and UConn, a team that boasts Danielle Cecco, who decisively won both the 1-m and 3-m events this past weekend.
