Everyone has to eat, even if it’s at Harvard.
At The Game this weekend, if you crave a midnight treat reminiscent of the greasy, delicious fare from Yale’s butteries, check out Harvard’s grilles.
The Harvard Crimson’s Flyby Blog published a guide last month to all their grilles “for your masticating pleasure.” And now all of them are open.
Harvard’s grilles sell 1950s-style goodies like burgers, mozzarella sticks, and milkshakes. If you are really adventurous, go to the Dunster Grille and try the “Fat Spencer,” which contains “a hamburger, mozzarella sticks, fries, and chili all on a long bun,” The Harvard Crimson reports. The Dunster Grille also serves a “Midnight Breakfast.”
The grilles are open late, but to gratify a hunger so late at night it is technically morning, check out Quincy Grille (open until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday).
If you want to go to the Eliot Grille, however, go early, as Flyby reports the grille quickly runs out of food.
Although Harvard only has four grilles compared to Yale’s 12 butteries, we are sure you will find some tasty snacks to satiate your appetite.
