The bells are back.

In preparation for the annual Commencement Guild of Carillonneurs concert, the carillon in Harkness Tower — out of commission all year as the tower underwent repairs and refinishing — began ringing around 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, the last night before dorms close for freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The scaffolding around the tower and Branford’s Memorial Gate has also disappeared.

Among the songs the carillonneurs played? Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.”
