The new Jane Austen exhibit, “A Woman’s Wit: Jane Austen’s Life and Legacy,” at the Morgan Library in New York City is now open. This collection presents more than 100 works, including manuscripts, first editions of her books and personal letters. (And if you need an extra reason to go, the Morgan Library owns three Gutenberg bibles to Beinecke’s one.)
While you’re in New York, go check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new exhibit, “Vermeer’s Masterpiece: The Milkmaid.” This Dutch treasure has not traveled to the United States for 70 years since its exhibition during the 1939 World Fair.
