The University said Monday it would provide to students a limited number of subsidized tickets for the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament next weekend, including the men’s hockey team’s contest against Vermont on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Bridgeport.

Two hundred all-session tickets are available to students at the Yale Athletics ticket office for $25, the Athletics Department said. (Tickets are available to the general public for $75.)

The tickets are available first-come, first-served, and must be picked up by Tuesday evening. The University will also have free shuttle buses to transport students to and from the Arena at Harbor Yard, where the East Regional will be played, the Athletics Department said.

Yale on Sunday received a No. 2 seed in the tournament, a day after the Bulldogs routed Cornell 5-0 to win the ECAC conference tournament for the first time in its history. The win guaranteed the Bulldogs an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.

If Yale wins Friday, it will play Saturday against the winner of the game

between top-seeded Michigan and fourth-seeded Air Force.

Yale last appeared in the tournament in 1997-’98.
