After a car chase on Highway I-95 on Friday, Connecticut state police apprehended a New Haven resident wanted for a shooting in a domestic dispute. The man, Anthony Defelice, 41, shot at, but did not hit, the boyfriend of his former girlfriend on Friday morning on Middletown Avenue. Defelice, a USPS employee, fled in his USPS maintenance vehicle to Wallingford, where he exchanged the vehicle for his personal car and continued to flee on I-95. Police had been searching for DeFelice all day when they saw his vehicle, chased and apprehended him that afternoon. He was briefly taken to Bridgeport hospital before being handed over to the New Haven Police Department. Charges against DeFelice are pending.
