The men’s cross country team finished second with 54 points at the Murray Keatinge Invitational at the University of Maine this past weekend. The Elis were led by Murat Kayali ’09 and Jared Bell ’09, who placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Bulldogs, who finished behind Dartmouth, were awarded a buoy instead of a trophy for their impressive performance. Last year’s winner, captain Jake Gallagher ’09, finished 11th in 25:25 during his first meet of the season. The team will compete at the Penn State Invitational on Oct. 17 at State College, Penn., in Yale’s final meet of the regular season.
