University police officers arrested a young woman involved in a domestic dispute early Friday afternoon in her home at 66 Wall Street, University spokesman Tom Conroy said.
Clarissa Ruffin, an 18 year-old New Haven resident, was charged with assault in the third degree and threatening during a dispute involving her relatives, Conroy said.
“She was released on a promise to appear in court,” he said. “I don’t have any particulars.”
Conroy said Ruffin is not a Yale student and that no one involved in the dispute sustained injuries requiring medical attention.
A spokesperson for the bail commissioners office could not be reached early Monday afternoon for information on when Ruffin will make her court appearance.
