To the Editor:
Last year, Yale University Dining Services ran a much-publicized campaign to reduce food wastage in our dining halls. Judging by the picture in the Yale Daily News (Page 4, 11/18) they have had little success. An “administration-sanction[ed] food-fight,” as the caption describes it, reflects poorly on all those who took part and especially on the “administration” that sanctioned it. Such behavior shows flagrant disregard for the plight of the hungry in our own city of New Haven, and especially all over the world.
As a community, we should expect better.
