The suspect was arrested and convicted last year on a state drug charge near Springfield, Mass., while carrying a Connecticut driver’s license bearing the name Edward Williams and a Hartford address, the Connecticut Post reported.

He also goes by the names of Norman Manroe, Norman Monroe, Frederick Jones II and John Edwards Jr.

He has claimed to be a citizen of the U.S., Antigua and Jamaica born on various dates.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Robert M. Appleton, reached by The Associated Press on Saturday, would not comment.

The Washington Post reported that the man, who was arrested Friday in Bridgeport, was wanted for questioning by investigators tracking the movements of sniper suspects Muhammad and John Lee Malvo.
