One man died and another was wounded Thursday night in a shooting in the city’s Fair Haven section, police said.

Police were called to the Farnham Court housing complex at about 7:45 p.m. on a report of a stabbing. The victim actually had a minor bullet graze wound on his head, police said.

The man told police he was shot about four blocks away from the housing complex on Wallace Street.

Police went to the scene and found a car with bullet holes and a trail of blood, Sgt. Anthony Cathey said.

Officers followed the trail and found the second victim dead in an ally, Cathey said.

Authorities did not release the names of the victims. The shooting is the city’s fourth homicide of the year.

Police said they had no suspects.
