No one chosen for jury in Komisarjevsky trial

Not a single person was picked when jury selection in the trial of Joshua Komisarjevsky began Wednesday.

Most potential jurors were dismissed after only a few questions from attorneys because they indicated a strong opinion that Komisarjevsky is guilty of the 2007 Cheshire murders, according to WFSB.

Komisarjevsky is accused of invading William Petit’s Cheshire home and brutally killing his wife and two daughters together with Steven Hayes, who was sentenced to death in December.

Komisarjevsky’s defense team motioned in February for the trial to be moved to Stamford because the New Haven area has been saturated with media coverage of the case. Judge Jon Blue denied that motion.

Jury selection is expected to take several months.
