Yale Quidditch gets WSJ shout-out

Yale is registered to participate in the World Cup. No, not the one that was in South Africa — November’s Quidditch World Cup in Manhattan. The Wall Street Journal mentioned Yale’s team in an article Monday about the college Quidditch sensation.

Quidditch emerged at Middlebury College as a Muggle attempt to recreate the Wizarding World’s favorite sport and the game has come far enough that there is talk of Quidditch being accepted to the National Collegiate Athletic Association. That could be what one Quidditch player from the University of Maryland calls “a path for the sport to the Olympics”, the article says.

Yale’s team was created last fall.
