Metro-North tickets are set to rise 7 to 14 percent, the New York Times’ City Room blog reported Thursday. How much the price of your Metro-North ticket goes up will depend on the distance you are traveling. The Metro-North hikes are one of many that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority board voted to implement Thursday, according to the Times. Among the others: unlimited MetroCards are now set to cost more. Tough luck if you’re interning in the city next summer. UPDATE Friday 1:21 a.m. According to the Hartford Courant Gov. M. Jodi Rell is planning on vetoing the increase.
