Hungry for more sustainable food? Well, next week is Food Week.

Friday marks the kickoff of the Yale College Council Food Week, with activities dedicated to learning about the processes that bring sustainable food to Yale’s dining halls. Highlights of the week include tours of dining hall kitchens and local farmers’ markets, a presentation and dinner by the chef of Heirloom and a kick-off event with Carlo Petrini, the founder of Slow Food International.

The week is cosponsored by Heirloom at The Study, the Yale Sustainable Food Project, the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity and Generation Organic. Activities last from Friday, October 8 through Saturday, October 16.
