Farm Tour rescheduled after buses forget students

Students eager to see farms can breathe sighs of relief. The Farm Tour has been rescheduled.

Last weekend’s Farm Tour, which was supposed to be the last of the four scheduled for this fall, was canceled Saturday morning when the buses did not show up to pick up students. The rescheduled tour will take place Oct. 9, Yale Dining wrote in an e-mail to students who had signed up.

The bus company forgot about last Saturday’s event, Regenia Phillips, director of residential dining for Yale Dining, said in a message last weekend to the News.

Monday’s e-mail apologized to students and reiterated that the bus company chartered for the tour had “assumed full responsibility for the mix-up.”

This weekend’s tour is again scheduled to leave after 8:15 a.m. across from Commons Dining Hall on College Street, the e-mail said.
