  • Worms and food scraps and humus, oh my! Yale is embarking on a composting initiative that will help the University recycle 100 percent of food waste from dining halls.

  • Despite the integrated construction of Paul Rudolph Hall and the Jeffrey H. Loria Center, students and professors at the School of Architecture and in the history of art department say the two schools still stand divided. “I feel like I’m on the other side of the Berlin Wall,” professor Peter Eisenman said. “I think there’s a very apparent separation.
  • Animal testing may be more trouble than it’s worth: Since Congress passed the Animal Welfare Act in 1966, increasingly stringent restrictions on animal experimentation have forced researchers to overcome a growing number of barriers to use live animals.
