Yale has the lowest percentage of minorities serving as senior administrators among the Ivy League, according to a Tuesday article published in The Daily Pennsylvanian, the student paper at the University of Pennsylvania.

The DP wrote that it considered senior administrators and individual school deans “as each Ivy defines them on their respective websites” when compiling the data, which indicated that one out of 26 senior administrators at Yale is a minority — more specifically “African-American/Black.” It is unclear what the DP considers a “senior administrator” at Yale.

Cornell, the DP reported, has the highest percentage of minority senior-level administrators, with 20.6 percent, or seven minorities out of 34 administrators. Penn itself has the third-lowest ratio, with three out of 31 administrators being minorities.

The data is not official or necessarily representative of the diversity within top Yale administrators, but the article comes at a time when faculty diversity is a topic of discussion on campus. On Feb. 4, President-elect Peter Salovey held a panel addressing a lack of faculty diversity at the University.
