Briefly: Monday morning fire at flower shop draws full force of firefighters

The second major fire in New Haven in four days broke out Monday morning. At 6:11 a.m., the New Haven Fire Department responded to a four-alarm fire at Lincoln Flower Shop on 22 East Grand Ave., according to reports by the New Haven Police Department. Neighboring fire departments assisted in the putting out the fire before it could damage the handful of historic buildings nearby.
