After a mix-up in planning caused representatives of the Elm City Resident Card program to miss Wednesday’s Finance Committee in regards to their request that the committee approve the application for and acceptance of $150,000 in private funds to support the program, members delayed the vote.

“If it was so urgent, somebody would have been here,” Ward 5 Alderman Jorge Perez said, in response to concerns that delaying could hurt funding. Aldermen emphasized that it is not meant as a rebuff to the program, which they said they support.
