Institutions are neck and neck in national news, too

To the Editor:

What rotten luck, and right in the middle of the college freshman acceptance season, too. Just when archrival Harvard University is in full meltdown over President Summers’ insufficiently pusillanimous adherence to political correctness, Yale’s ex-Taliban sweeps Harvard right off the front pages of national newspapers.

I’d gloat even more if I thought my own Stanford University were likely to display either more courage or more common sense.
