In the early part of its season, the women’s softball team is making a claim for Constitution State supremacy.

The Bulldogs (4-0) won their second straight doubleheader against an intrastate rival Wednesday as they swept Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

Yale rode the arm of Cara Denver ’02 to a 2-1 win in the first game. In game two, Kristy Kwiatkowski ’05 went 2-3 with two runs scored to lead Yale to a 5-4 victory.

Yale plays Youngstown State University on Monday in Orlando, Fla., to start its spring break trip.
