TRACK & FIELD: Men seventh, women eighth at Heps

The Yale track and field teams traveled to Cornell this weekend to compete in the highly anticipated Ivy League Heptagonal Championships for the indoor season. Saturday consisted of mostly preliminary qualifying rounds with a few scored events, while Sunday saw most of the final heats. The men came away with a seventh-place finish, while the women took eighth.

TRACK & FIELD: Records continuing to fall for track and field

The Yale men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Boston University this weekend to compete at the Valentine Invitational. The meet, which was the last unscored competition of the Bulldogs’ 2015–16 indoor season, gave Yale athletes a chance to qualify for the women’s ECAC and men’s IC4A regional championships next month, while also serving as a final tune-up before the highly anticipated Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in just two short weeks.

TRACK & FIELD: Two Yale records highlight HYP

The Yale men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to New York this Friday to compete against two storied Ivy League rivals at the annual HYP tri-meet. Facing some of the toughest competition seen all year — the Harvard women and Princeton men won last year’s Ivy Heptagonal Championships — Yale took third place in both meets while Princeton claimed victory in both.

Both the Yale men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Hanover, New Hampshire this past Saturday to compete against Dartmouth and Columbia in the Bulldogs’ first Ivy League meet of the season. With many underclassmen making their season debuts in the meet, Yale ended up taking third place on both sides.

The Yale men’s and women’s track and field teams won several events in Saturday’s Yale Season Opener at Coxe Cage against eight local colleges and universities. The meet was the Elis’ first competition after months of training, and the freshmen’s first opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.
