Putting on my uniform for what I knew would be the last time was surreal. I didn’t know how to separate myself from a sport that I loved so much. I’d been with the same teammates and coach for so long that we’d grown into one being — eight separate brains that somehow functioned as one cohesive whole.

Historians discuss election results

History professors Joanne Freeman, Beverly Gage ’94 and Glenda Gilmore addressed more than 200 students, faculty and local residents who packed into a lecture hall Wednesday night, many of whom stood in doorways or sat on the ground. Speakers discussed the implications of a Republican president, Congress and Supreme Court, and touched upon the significance of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

Glee Club celebrates 155 years

The celebration featured performances by the undergraduate Glee Club and two alumni choral groups that are a part of the Yale Glee Club Associates, the group’s alumni branch. A wide array of music was sung, including the Yale classic “Raise Your Voices Here,” a Swiss yodel and the world premiere of “Hold,” written and arranged by Anna George Meek ’91 and Eric Banks ’90.
