Ivy League plans return to regular athletic competition for fall 2021

In a Tuesday morning statement sent to Yale student-athletes, the eight Ivy League presidents announced their expectation to return to regular athletic competition across all sports in the fall after more than three seasons of canceled games.

WOMEN’S GOLF: Gianchandani and Lee knocked out in match play at four-ball championship, win medalist honors for stroke play

After competing in the stroke play portion of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship on Saturday and Sunday, Yale golfers Ami Gianchandani ’23, Kaitlyn Lee ’24 and Sophie Simon ’25 were knocked out in the first round of match play, which commenced on Monday and ended Wednesday.

Yale hires Jeffrey Austin as new golf course superintendent

Jeffrey Austin, a former assistant superintendent at Augusta National Golf Club, comes to the Yale Golf Course from Quail Hollow Country Club in Ohio to fill the superintendent role vacated by Scott Ramsay in March 2020.

Ami Gianchandani ’23, Kaitlyn Lee ’24 and soon-to-be Bulldog Sophie Simon ’25 made the cut after two rounds at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas. They continue into the round of 32 on Monday.
