A pedestrian was struck by a car outside Silliman College Monday evening at around 7 p.m.

New Haven Police Department officers on-scene said the injuries were not life-threatening and that they were still investigating the accident. They could not say whether the victim was a Yale student.

David Murray, a witness to the accident, said he saw a young man hit by a white car while crossing the street. He added that the entire incident “happened very quickly.”

The white car in question was parked by the sidewalk in front of Silliman, with its front left wheel partially on the curb.
