Snapchat goes public. According to Bloomberg, Snapchat filed paperwork for an initial public offering Tuesday. The IPO is expected to raise up to $4 billion, and revenue is expected to climb to $1 billion in 2017. The company has raised $2.4 billion to date.

Tinder expands. Mobile dating application Tinder has launched a new platform through which users can choose among 37 different genders. CEO Sean Rad said the update aims to create a more “inclusive” environment for all Tinder users.

Kevin G. visits Yale. Rajiv Surendra  of “Mean Girls” fame joined Yale’s South Asian Society today for a signing of his new book, “The Elephants in My Backyard: A Memoir.” Kevin G. allegedly visited newly opened Donut Crazy after the event.

This day in Yale history 1982 Elie Wiesel joins the Yale community to discuss the inauguration of the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies at Yale. Wiesel speaks of the horrors he faced personally, highlighting the importance of knowledge for others.
