The goal I had in mind was to capture a couple in their home and displace them through shadows, barriers—mirrors, walls, doors, windows—and visual geometries. I hoped this series would shine light on bodies and whatever it is that keeps those bodies from the physical spaces in which they feel most comfortable. My idea was that this might visually represent the tension and sense of entrapment such displacement creates.
