The freshman. The youngest student in the Ivy League is 12 years old. Jeremy Shuler, who was studying calculus at age 6, is a first-year student at Cornell University, studying engineering. Shuler, a Texas native, was homeschooled by his parents, both of whom are aerospace engineers before arriving at Cornell. He told a Boston news channel that he’s finding his college courses “pretty easy so far.”
