The rent is too high. RadPad, a mobile apartment search and rent payment platform, ranked Yale as the 31st most expensive college in the country to rent nearby campus, reporting that the median two-bedroom apartment close to campus costs $2,600. This number has gone up after the openings of two luxury buildings: College and Crown Apartments and the Novella. The No. 1 spot went to Stanford and Brown was the only other Ivy on the list, at No. 23.
