THIS DAY IN YALE HISTORY 1984 According a report released by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Advisory Committee on the Education of Women, Yale needs to make greater efforts to recruit and retain female faculty members. The committee — which was formed in 1982 — called on the University to double the number of tenured women in the faculty.
