Melissa McCarthy confirmed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she will be returning for the reboot of popular sitcom “Gilmore Girls.” On the show, McCarthy plays Sookie, best friend of Lorelai Gilmore, the beloved mother of Yalie Rory. The episode of “Ellen” in which McCarthy announces her return will air at 4 p.m. today.
