Two roads diverged. Despite strong campaigning from students to tear down the statue of British imperialist Cecil Rhodes at Oxford University, Oriel College at Oxford has decided against removing it. Earlier this month, Oxford Union — the university’s student government ­— voted 245 to 212 to have the statue torn down.
