On Wednesday, University President Peter Salovey solicited nominations and applications for the replacement for longtime Vice President and General Counsel Dorothy Robinson. The University general counsel is Yale’s top lawyer.
A document attached to Salovey’s email outlined several requirements for the position. In addition to possessing a law degree, the applicant should have “the highest ethical and moral standards and impeccable judgement.” In other words, being a good person.
The document also noted that maturity, self-awareness, organization and a “sense of humor” are major pluses.
The search for Robinson’s replacement is being conducted by SpencerStuart, an executive search and leadership consulting firm.
