Warm-up for Halloweekend by getting started two days early. The Silliman Haunted House tradition is “back and with a vengeance” this year according to Silliman member Nicole de Santis ’15. This year’s affair takes place at the “Silliman Private Care Center” for troubled celebrities including Britney Spears, Kanye West and Miley Cyrus. Sounds like the makings of a VH1 music video…

Celebrate the scariest holiday of the year at the scariest joint in New Haven. Join radio station 99.1 WPLR as they throw their annual Kooks and Spooks Convention costume party at Toad’s. Costumes are encouraged and “prizes” (penny drinks? playlist requests? Toad’s gold cards?) will be given out to the best get-ups. Five dollars for over-21 admission and $10 for under-21. Can Toad’s get more frightening than it usually is? Prepare yourself accordingly…

Remains of a human skeleton were unearthed from the root of the Lincoln Oak on the New Haven Green during a storm in a spooky incident around Halloween last year. Who was buried? Were they buried alive? Researchers have dug up the sordid details and the truth will be unearthed at panel discussion.
