A portrait of former Yale Law School Dean and State Department veteran Harold Koh will be unveiled later today in the Law School alumni’s reading room.
Koh, who returned to teach at the Law School this semester after serving as legal adviser in the State Department for over three years, will be honored with a ceremony featuring speeches by Law School Dean Robert Post LAW ’77 and Judge Guido Calabresi ’53 LAW ’58 of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. Koh joined the Law School faculty in 1985 and served as the school’s dean from 2004 until 2009, when he was nominated to the State Department by President Barack Obama. After his return to the Law School this January, Koh was appointed Sterling Professor of international law.
The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in the Law School Levinson Auditorium.
